Well, last time I wrote about our Mama-made Waldorf dolls I expressed sadness that the boys didn't play with them often. Since then we have had much more play. I decided I needed to keep them out in our living room so we were all more aware of them.
It seems to have worked. One day Owen's doll was riding around in his truck outside. It must have been quite a thrill as the boys race round and round the patio table.
And Just today I captured Owen playing with them. The little dolls were crying, he changed his doll's diaper, he actually went and found one of his own and tried to put it on saying, "Poot, poot!"
He took them in and out of their cradle and chair.
Michael joined in on the play too. It warms my heart to see them being loved and cared for!
After our story time we often free play a story with our wooden animals & buildings. Today, we were excited to create a story with their new story eggs. It began with just the eggs and then all the wooden creatures joined in. There were gnomes, a royal frog, hedgehog, & lady blue bird who had lost her eggs amongst others.
Turned out there was a nasty witch in the wood who was causing mischief. All the animals, gnomes and a tomten joined in to help lady blue bird.
I love to see Michael's imagination in action. It's so much fun to watch the stories unfold and his excitement in the adventure grow.
Until next time...
