WE'RE HAVING A BOY!!!

Yawning Baby
This is not my baby and our ultrasound pics are the old fashioned kind, that is, unrecognizable

We had an ultrasound today and found out that we're having another boy! I'm really happy! It was so sweet seeing him on screen. The little wiggles and kicks and then he yawned. So cute! I can't wait to meet him and see if he looks like Michael or totally different. Everyone says Michael looks like me. Will this one look more like my husband? Will he have chocolate eyes or blue? And if blue then what will I call my blog?!?

It's exciting and feeling more real to me now. I wasn't going to find out but kept going back and forth with that decision. Did I want to be surprised or be ultra prepared? Well, then, yesterday I slipped and fell. On my butt thankfully. So, my decision was made for me. I wanted to have an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok and if I was already there peeking inside, why not find out right? It was too enticing.

Anyway, everything seems to be A-ok. I feel good. I've felt movement. I went to see my midwife right after the fall and the baby's heart tones were normal. Although he seems to be hiding behind the placenta so it took her awhile to find him, that was scary. The ultrasound technician kept saying she was not a doctor but it looked like everything was fine. Baby was kicking and moving all around and heart tones were good. I feel good. I just have a sore back from the fall.

We may have even settled on a name! A small miracle, since we never agree! Though I think I might keep it to myself.

For now.
