Our New Place!

I wanted to post some pics of our new place for our family. Here's the outside.

I love this gate and the little courtyard inside. I'd like to have a small garden where the wood chips are. I haven't really evaluated the light though, so we'll see.

Our front hallway and door.

The living area, a bit small. It actually looks more spacious than it really is. It's cozy. The kitchen is in the back, I love having the kitchen connected to the living space. The doorway to the left is a little hallway with a double door linen closet with great shelving. Then there's the boys bathroom, insisted upon by Daddy. And another door to the playroom.

The other side of the room and the fireplace. The orange paintings are my husband's work and the portrait is mine, for those of you who haven't seen them.


Fireplace and dining area. We're going to put in some child friendly wooden shelves in place of the glass ones and I want to find some rectangular baskets for the bottom two shelves on either side for a bit more storage. The right door opens into our bedroom.

My favorite room, our bedroom. Most of the pics didn't come out, but this window looks out into the front courtyard and some beautiful bougainvillea bushes. These shutters feel so romantic to me. To the left is my very own bathroom with a vanity and all! Yay! I've never had my own bathroom, I'm making it very girly.

The pics of the playroom were blurry. I have a little space in there for a sewing area. I'll post pics later when I get it organized. The playroom has sliding doors out into the small yard and patio, surrounded by flowering bushes. I can't wait to see them in bloom!

This place works so well for us. It's the perfect size, great storage, hubby has a studio and office in the garage. And we love the character. So, there's our new place!
