I am not someone who advocates multiple, unneeded ultrasounds. But, oh my goodness do I LOVE ultrasounds! Like I said previously I wasn't going to get one this pregnancy unless required to. But I found myself having all sort of crazy thoughts about who the little guy was. The thought that he could have two heads and I wouldn't know was driving me nuts! I had all this anxiety. Was the baby ok? Checking the heart beat just wasn't enough. Oddly enough I was thinking about all of this right before I fell.
Then suddenly I was required to have an ultrasound. Now that I've seen him with my own eyes and yes, tho he was a bit alien-like, he also was pretty darn cute. The pudgy, little belly and the little, wiggly feet and legs kicking. The adorable little yawn, I just can't get his image out of my mind now. I wouldn't want to. I just can't wait to meet him!
Seeing him has also kicked my nesting impulse into overdrive! This week I've washed all of our old baby/ toddler clothes and organized them by year, month and then by type of clothing. All newborn sleepers and gowns are grouped together. Cute outfits I may dress him in for UU church or a morning out in another category. Everything was neatly folded as soon as the dryer was done drying, so no wrinkles. Then I moved on to my sewing area. I created a little cubby space with Michael's bin shelves to separate my space from play space. Michael loves his little play cubby and I love that all my sewing supplies are out of boxes and sitting in my shelves where I can find them easily. I can't wait to get to the sewing projects before little man is here. I want to make him some little fabric teethers, cloth jingly ball, a little doll and a bigger doll for Michael complete with clothes and diapers. I'd love to make him a little quilt and a felt mobile and even try my hand at some infant hats. I'll never get to it all of course, but trying will be fun!
Next on my list is getting some nice bins and baskets for further organization. What else can I organize now? I'm in the zone!

My darling Becca~
