Recently we went on a hike with my good friend Mara.
I'm always amazed by the beauty of this area.
We found a beautiful tree to explore.
Owen was all about exploring and climbing.
Michael not so much. Can you tell how uncomfortable he is here? He's all about observing and admiring the beauty.
We couldn't get over these beautiful lizards. We saw probably 8 of them. They always found a large rock, pushed up tall & sat looking curiously at us.
They also walked with their tales curled up. This one hissed at us. Can you believe his colors and designs?
It was a hot day and when we got up to the waterfall & stream there wasn't one. Just a trickle. Come on monsoon, come!
I did not carve this, I don't think the trees care for being carved. But I thought it was quite lovely anyway.
It was a beautiful, hot, Southwest summer day.
