Great Outdoor Challenge: Hail!
Yesterday was a beautiful day for us! It was chilly, cloudy and rained on and off.
Then it hailed! Very unusual weather for us. In the sunny Southwest you see windows and doors thrown open wide when it rains. Children run outside to celebrate! And the scent of rain is heavenly, like nothing I've ever smelled before. I've read that it's the creosote bush that emits this lovely fragrance.

Playing in the rain is one of the simple pleasures in life. Hail is fun to watch (however, it is often associated with tornados and extremely severe weather here in the South).
