"in honor of Children and Nature Awareness Month, go outside everyday, rain or shine; then take a picture each day, for the rest of April, of your children outdoors and post it. Just a single picture will do; words aren’t even necessary. Lets spread the word and go outdoors!"

So today is our first day posting.
Nature for us is not like it was when I was a child. I lived back East, (USA) in the country and grew up free range! I could walk in the woods, run through the pastures & play in the creeks. I built houses for worms & toads and read for hours under my favorite Horse Chestnut tree. I struggle a little with nature in the Southwest. It's a bit unfamiliar, often poky and HOT! But the Southwest has a charm all its own and this is what I hope to explore with my little ones this month. Often for us & where we live, nature is found close by pavement.
We decided to go for a walk, reciting our favorite walking verse.
We're Racing, Racing Down the Walk

We're racing, racing down the walk.
Over the pavement and round the block.
We noticed all the signs of Spring's arrival. The winds are one of those. Every Spring the winds come. There are even High Wind Advisories when the sky is brown with dust. This morning the sky was a beautiful blue & the wind was cold.
Michael scaled a wall. And yes, those are slippers. (Don't ask, LOL)
peekaboo!
& see you tomorrow!

Wonderful! Love seeing the southwest. The cactus flowers are gorgeous. Thanks for participating Becca.
