I finally opened the boxes containing all my sewing things. I have a small space to set up my sewing area in the playroom. I have a table and metal shelving and can't wait to get it organized. I have big plans but need to get some pretty storage boxes first.
I did manage to make something though, these felt Valentine's Day goodies for my nieces. Oh, how I missed the meditative practice of hand sewing. I sit on my comfy couch, with my favorite red, Mexican blanket and my hot tea and sew for hours. Interrupted hours of course, with a four year old there are many other things that require attention. That's ok, I love that too.
There is a down side though, while making these I tend to dream of the real thing. Mmmm. We'll have to make some of those too!
