I'm back!

Yay! I'm back! We've moved to a beautiful new place that fits us so well. We love it! Right now I'm having trouble with my camera and so I can't post pics but I will soon.

What an ordeal we've been through and we're so glad to have it behind us. We had a professional mold guy come to the old place to test and evaluate the situation. It was an allergen/ pathogen series of different molds that was caused by the landlord's negligence in leaving water damage/ leak in the bathroom. Also, the neighbors next door had had a mold problem causing them to leave. At some point the mold started to grow in the air/ heating vents. I was finding mold growing on clothing in our closets, clothing stored in boxes, even on my professional wedding album. This was a nice place in a nice neighborhood but when we asked the landlord to look at the items and take care of the problem he tried to tell us it was dirt and then tried to blame the problem on us. A problem that he wouldn't actually admit to, but, somehow it was our fault. I was getting very sick, I had a hacking cough that wouldn't go away, I'm pregnant, we have a young child but he didn't care or want to help us. This was really, really, very sad to me. It still feels awful to me that someone could be so uncaring. I don't believe he's even tried to fix the problem as the For Rent sign went up the day we moved out.

The work in leaving that place was unbelievable. I had to wash every thing before moving it. We had to steam clean our furniture but were able to save it. I have to say here as well that we would not have been able to move without the help of some wonderful friends. My good friend Monica who came over to help pack and lighten the mood and cheer lead me on when I was exhausted and unmotivated. And her wonderful husband who steam cleaned all our furniture and helped my husband move all our belongings. He stayed up late days in a row with my husband and didn't leave until the job was done. Thank you so much!!! In any event we are so very happy to be in a new, healthy place. My cough is gone and my allergies are subsiding and we are on to bigger and better!
