This summer we've had a few disappointments. My husband instructs part time at a Community College nearby. A couple classes that he thought he'd have this summer didn't come through. In addition and because of it, he wasn't able to lead a well planned trip to Europe with his students. He started out the summer pretty bummed. But, what has resulted is some good bouts of fun, and lazy summer time together.

Time well spent! Mike finally put our hammock up. We don't have two trees to hang it between so for awhile we've had it up as a swing, which no one ever used. With our one lone tree Mike spent hours trying to figure out the right branches and right height to make it comfortable. Standing in the rain storm holding his metal ladder and chain I didn't feel very smart or keen on finishing the project. But, Mike insisted and stuck to it and thankfully we didn't get struck by lightning. Now, we are very much enjoying our hammock time and it's our favorite story time spot.

Michael was gifted this bright red soccer ball, recently. So, Mike taught Michael how to play and he loves it. They've spent hours running around the yard and Michael has become really good at it. All playtime usually includes a wrestle and a tickle fest too.

Who doesn't love a good balloon fight in a hammock. It ended in a cuddle. Michael's fun time with Daddy has been priceless.
Beautiful papa, beautiful son, wonderful action and still photos. xo. C.
