"Pumpkins, pumpkins on the vine. Growing big, taking their time..." This is a line form one of our favorite Autumn poems. Autumn circle time is my favorite of the year, perhaps because Autumn is my favorite season.
This year was the first year we've grown pumpkins.
We planted Sugar Pie pumpkins and so far we have three pumpkins to make in to something yummy! Now the vines are looking really spent so we may not have too many more to harvest.
We recently found this book and are loving it. It's a factual book about the life cycle of pumpkins. I've been busy collecting some yummy, Vegan, pumpkin related recipes on Pinterest. What to try first?

I was just thinking about you and planning to email, asking how being vegan is going for you. Just a few minutes ago, I subscribed to Vegetarian Times. Although it's not a vegan magazine, many of the recipes are vegan (or could easily be converted from veg. to vegan.) I can't believe, after all my years of being vegetarian, I had never seen this magazine. I picked up a copy on a whim at the grocery store earlier today and found so many recipes which look really good...

Vegan is going well. it's definitely a process though. There are times when I just can't pass up that ice cream cone, but those times are few and far between. & that issue will be solved with an ice cream maker and some coconut milk, lol! I'll check out Veg Times. Thank you!
