A Seasonal Wreath...

We loved the advent wreath over our table so much that we decided to make a seasonal wreath.  This will always hang over our table, though we will change it with the seasons and /or holidays.  The basic wreath and burlap looking ribbon will stay the same but the decorations will be changed.  I loosely wrapped the wreath in red ribbon so that I can easily take it off after Valentine's Day.  Then Michael and I needle felted these red wool hearts to hang from our wreath by ribbon.  We really like it though there was something about the solidness of the jute wrapped advent wreath that I loved.  I may make another just like it but this time with out the hot glued additions.  Perhaps another night wrapping a wreath while swooning over Mr. Darcy!? What do you think?

Either way it will be fun to see how it changes throughout the year.

Until next time...

  3. I like your wreath. It is so cheerful. For some time now I have followed your blog and I have to tell you that on several occasions you have inspired me with ways to encourage my children's hands-on learning. Thank you.

  6. Thanks for sharing your re-purposed wreath Becca! I am always shy away from making anything too permanent because then you can only use it for one purpose AND you have to then store it somewhere when you're not using it! Not easy in a small house!
Our grapevine wreath that was wrapped with a red berry garland in our living room for Christmas now lives completely natural in our bathroom tucked behind other baskets for some visual "height". Reuse, reuse, reuse!
