Our Woodland Tree

Our woodland tree is still a work in progress!  The last ornaments I'd like to make with the kids are cinnamon cut out ornaments.  I have a squirrel, rabbit and acorn cookie cutters, borrowed from a friend and waiting for us.  I hope we can get to it before Christmas, but if not, we have a lovely start on our woodland themed tree and we can always make them next year. Owen was so excited the night we decorated it, he exclaimed (with hands flung overhead in excitement), "We decorated our tree with toys! ".

I do have some other ornaments to share though.  These star babies I made for gifts this year and kept a couple too.  They were so easy and fun to make and oh so soft!  I made them from my cashmere stash.

Most became ornaments but these two became little stuffed toys.  I definitely have to make more.

Well, let's see 4 more days until Christmas!  In that space of time I have a bendy doll to make, 2 gnomes, Christmas cookies, cinnamon ornaments, and Michael's Birthday party to do.  Yikes!  Something will have to go, me thinks!

How are you doing on your holiday projects?  Are you all ready or are you here with me in the trenches!?

    1. Hi Angie! Thank you so much! No, I don't sell a pattern or tutorial. I should huh? I do plan on making a bunch for the Christmas season & selling them at my MamaWestWind etsy shop. I'll try and let you know if I create a pattern. If you're on FB, I have a FB page for my shop & that would be a good way to keep in touch. https://www.facebook.com/MamaWestWind

    2. Thanks Becca! They are just the most darling little things! I will keep watch on your FB page. PLEASE make a pattern, though! I can see so many possibilities with these---made in white with gold stitching and little golden wings, etc. Thank you for such precious creations---I love your 'Chocolate Eye' page!

  14. I just stumbled on your wonderful blog. These star babies are precious and I'd love to make some for my grandbabies (I try to make a new ornament every year for them). I see there's been lots of interest in a pattern above. Was that something you ever wrote up?
