I needed to make some Math gnomes for our Waldorf-inspired homeschooling this year. I came up with wood-burned and painted gnomes with wool felt hats.
Here's addition in green and subtraction in blue.
Multiplication in yellow and division in red.
King Equals in royal garb. He is violet and white.
These are made to order so I can change colors if needed.
I've also added these gnome clothespins in rainbow colors. Check out my MamaWestWind store for these and other Waldorf peg doll gnomes and animals. Also become a fan of my facebook page for your chance to win a giveaway at my 200th fan mark!

ReplyDeleteThose little math gnomes are too sweet! What a brilliant way to bring a bit of colour to learning math.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'd love to know more about the Waldorf approach to math. Are there any websites (or printed curriculum) you could point me to?
ReplyDeleteFlying Squirrel and anyone else who is interested. Here's a link to a Math story from A Little Garden Flower. I'll be using A Little Garden Flower for first grade this year. You can find the curriculum on this same website under shop.
