This is a great reason to have a basket of clothes pins laying around. Boredom often turns into "Hmm, I wonder what this could be?"
This has kept him busy for about the past two weeks off and on. We've had many robotic birds and elaborate story lines going on about them. This one he calls his spaceship, made by clothes pinning along an old rubber truck wheel.
He also made one that was clipped only on one side of the wheel. And he's used bottle caps as well. Those were homes for a tiny, toy lizard. A few times he's gotten frustrated with the process of it as they often, unintentionally, go flying through the air. We've also had a fair few broken. But who cares! Clothes pins are inexpensive and with all this creative play going on it's more than worth it.
Little "Boabs", (as Michael calls him) is trying to make them too! Too fun!
I'm joining in the fun this week at the playdate at Beneath the Rowan Tree.

how fun and creative!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! You have to love the imagination in action! And we love chocolate eyes at our house, too!
