Northern Adventure: Summer = Beach

So I've decided to categorize my postings about our Northern Adventure (our 6 month stay in rural NY) seasonally. The shear amount of photos I have is overwhelming!  So in effort to organize and therefore be a little more concise I'll stick to the seasons and start at the beginning. What better place to begin then at the beginning!

So at the start of our trip we headed straight for the beach like desert rats searching for water!  Growing up my beach was the lake.  Lake Erie of the Great lakes to be specific.  Not the most stunning beach, I mean it's not the ocean, but it has a beauty all it's own and all the elements of fun. Sand, sun and water of course!

The kids had the best time exploring.  I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Had to put this one in!  Until next time...

  1. I used to live in southern NY state. We summer vacationed once at the finger lakes up north. Such beautiful places, those. The lakes were always a little strange to me - their normally miniature waves and rocky beaches. The children are beautiful - and I can feel that fresh breeze coming off the water -

  2. I love these pics of the wee ones at the beach! I'm on Lake Michigan side of Michigan, and summering on the beach are some of our favorite memories [love]

    blessings!
