Walking...

Owen, 1 year old                                                          Michael, 5 1/2

We're still fascinated with the Agave plant.  This one is taller than Michael.

The center of the Agave.

And I'm still watching the flowers of this Agave. The birds love it. We spotted many hummingbirds fighting over it. There's a hummingbird hovering in the center of this photo.  We also spotted a woodpecker and many little finches.  I'm waiting to see when this huge stem will fall over. (The new growth of the stem and flowers of the Agave means the plant will die, I posted about the growth of the Agave, here.)

This little hummingbird stopped to check us out.  Are they as curious about us as we are about them?

The Moon flowers are blooming in the desert.  We enjoyed watching the bees buzz around them.

This post is making me miss New Mexico already.  We move in five days!

We will miss you our beautiful desert!  And we also look forward to the lush, green of the Northeast!

  2. I don't envy that you are moving from a place that you seem to truly love...but hopefully not so far that you cannot visit NM again? And just think of the wonderful adventures to be had in your new home!
