Owen is 10 months old!
Language has exploded this month. He tries to say just about anything we ask him to say. He says "uh, oh, which sounds more like "uh- oh, ooh", "du"- for duck, "daw", for dog, "bay, bay" for baby and bye, bye with a wave.
He loves to see him self in the mirror and kisses his reflection and says "bay-bay, bay-bay". I love the way he says "maw-m-m-mm" (mom) all drawn out & in a low voice when he's upset. We're still waiting for him to say Michael and his own name.
He goes wherever he wants now and gets awfully mad when we deter him. The bathrooms are off limits and he does not like it and lets that be known! He's found all the kitchen cabinets. He's also pulling himself up and standing. He's learning how to lower himself down from standing now.
Brotherly love is so sweet, they are very loving with one another most of the time. However, they already have begun to bicker! Michael gets frustrated with not being able to build his castles and roads while Owen is around. He also acts like a little Papa sometimes, as if he is responsible for Owen. When he tries to takes something away or stop him from going somewhere or doing something that is when the screeching starts! Ah, well, peaceful infant-hood is over. Toddler-hood here we come. I'm ready, (I think) bring it on!

He is a beautiful child! Those eyes are truly chocolate!
ReplyDeleteToddler hood is taking me down these days. My littlest gets sooooo upset when we deter him too. Mad I'd say actually. Bathroom doors, basement doors, kitchen chairs on floors, some that he can stand back up on his own on couches, or in other rooms. Phew! It's a workout. Good thing they are so darn cute!

Thanks so much Grace!
ReplyDeleteWow, Lisa, "kitchen chairs on floors, some that he can stand back up on his own on couches" that's my view of the future!? That does sound like a workout. Nature had to make them cute for us to work so hard for them, no? LOL
