The Great Outdoor Challenge: Final Days

The Great Outdoor Challenge has been so much fun!  We have truly loved it.  I found it easy to get out everyday, whether it was to take a walk or just be in our backyard.  It was fun and such a great way to connect and enjoy nature and outdoors with the kids.  I know the boys loved it!

On our last days of the challenge we frequented the parks with friends.  Michael finally got back on his bike after a long sojourn because of a fall. (And now it might be time to get him a new one, as I see his little knees can almost hit the handlebars.)

He loves wearing his helmet and pads. We met friends and all the kids had a blast going around and around, and around the "racetrack"  as they call it.

I can't believe how much his bike riding skills improved in just a couple days of riding.  He's getting so big so fast!  Too fast.

On this day the desert winds finally chased us home.  Thanks so much to Lisa from 5 Orange Potatoes for starting this fantastic challenge!

  1. :) This was a great challenge, that we also enjoyed as well. Though we didn't end up getting out everyday we definitely got out a lot more than usual. My daughter's bike riding skills have also improved! Children definitely grow too fast!

My daughter looks just like your son - way too big for their bikes! I noticed it the other day and we all began to laugh!
