Fun Craft!

I made these a couple of years ago for Michael to play with. I simply used markers to color them.

We found these great little acorn tops. They aren't typical acorns. They're very tiny and fit just perfect on the tops of these clothes pins. (Does anyone know what variety these acorns might be?) Again we used markers and Michael made the above.

And I made these. I sent the one in the orange dress to my Mom.

And the rest keep me company on this old tin in my kitchen. I felt like I needed some quiet girl power in this house of loud boys!

Now does anyone know what I could use to naturally seal them?

Anyway, super fun and easy project!

  1. Love them! Another great idea I want to try out. Need to find a clothespin source, though.

  3. Hi! Thanks! I'm sure you can find clothespins at the craft store. I think I even found these, a few years ago, at a department store.

  4. I use a mix of olive oil, beeswax and a little orange oil to seal my wooden toys. I would test it out on the markers tho...not sure if it would bleed. I have some of these clothes pins (Hobby Lobby carries them) and can't wait to get creative!! Thanks for sharing! My girls are going to love it!
