Well, it was suggested that we have another ultrasound for our peace of mind. I was exposed to Parvovirus around 20 weeks pregnant. Parvovirus can be very dangerous for a baby in utero before 20 weeks. I had a blood test which came back that I had been exposed but also had the antibodies in my blood. We believe that to mean that I must have been exposed before the pregnancy and am now immune. This would make little Owen immune also. We weren't overly concerned, but regardless, we went and had another Ultrasound just to make sure all is fine.
And, everything checked out just fine. This time, momentarily, we saw a good view of little Owen's face and I swear he looks just like Michael did as an infant. Of course the picture she gave us of his face looks skeletal, and not very readable. But, we did get an adorable view of Owen sucking his thumb. Too cute! (I'll try and post a pic of the ultrasound picture soon.) His position was head down, so upside down and with his legs crossed Indian style. What an odd position! My little Yogi! Even in amniotic fluid and with little gravity, that position still doesn't seem comfortable to me. To each his own!
My Mom recently sent me some wonderful maternity clothes. Thanks Mom! Here's a picture of me wearing one of the tops she sent.
