Fall Festival Time!

Michael & I
Well, we finally were able to get to the maze this week, a fall festival of sorts here in the Southwest. Every year they make a giant maze in a corn field that if you were to see from the sky, would be in the form of a design. This year the design is apparently a cottonwood tree with an owl in it's shade and sunflowers underneath. Wow! How detailed! Anyway, we never got to the maze this year. There were too many other things to see and do.

Here's Michael in the tricycle maze.

As is our annual tradition, we went with our good friends, Luke & Monica & Morgan and now baby Liam. Morgan and Michael have experienced three of these fall festivals together now.

Here they are on the hay ride to the pumpkin patch, our favorite part! I was able to get 4 great pumpkins for $4. We'll be carving soon!

These tractors are buried in the sand so the steering wheel is at just the right height. The boys loved "driving" their tractors.

They have these great sand diggers. This occupied them for quite some time.

Michael at the pumpkin patch posing without me even asking. He remembers well from last year.

They remind me of two old farmers reminiscing about their days on the farm in this picture. Another year together and what a fun tradition!

  1. What fun! Morgan is growing up, just as much as Michael. I remember when they were the "bittiest" babies of the group.
